A man was arrested Saturday by Ohio County Sheriff’s deputies, accused of leaving a makeshift incendiary device at a home off Cherry Hill Road.

John Storm, 41, was arrested and charged with one felony county of criminal use of destructive device, explosive material or incendiary device, according to Ohio County Sheriff Nelson Croft. Storm remained in Northern Regional Jail as of Monday afternoon on $25,000 bond.

According to Croft, deputies responded Saturday to an alleged trespassing at a home off Cherry Hill Road. At the scene, they ran into Storm, who was asked to leave by the landowner and did. Around 10:30 p.m., Croft continued, Storm allegedly returned to the house and started beating on the door of the home. Deputies returned and Storm had fled the area.
