A man has denied a charge of attempted murder following an assault at a Stockport bar. Luke Allman, 25, is set to face trial later this year.

Police were called to Bask on Railway Road in Stockport at around 1am on Sunday, February 23, after reports of an assault.

Allman, of Lambeth Grove in Woodley, Stockport, appeared at Minshull Street Crown Court today (June 9) where he admitted a string of charges but denied a charge of attempted murder.

The defendant admitted two charges of GBH, an assault charge and possessing a bladed article, namely a flick knife. He denied attempted murder.

Judge Maurice Greene adjourned the case for a trial scheduled to start on August 18. The case was also listed for a preliminary hearing on July 7. The defendant, who appeared by videolink from HMP Forest
