BISMARCK, ND (KXNET) — Local organizations and businesses are gearing up to participate in the Great Plains Food Bank Packathon.
The high-energy, team-based event is held every year in Fargo and Bismarck, and teams of employee volunteers are challenged to pack as many pounds of food as possible in 90-minute shifts.
The Packathon in Bismarck will be at the Regional Distribution Center on June 10 and 11, bringing together 11 teams from different businesses.
This event gives companies a meaningful way to give back by combining fun, teamwork, and community impact.
Everything that's packed will provide groceries for neighbors who are facing food insecurity, which supports the mission to end hunger together.
