Gravel roadway to remain until August as Knife River project continues

BISMARCK, ND (KXNET) — The City of Bismarck is continuing work on the reconstruction of East Century Ave as part of its Knife River Project, with a gravel road in place for temporary travel.

They have provided an update, saying that travel through the construction area from the west limit to Stonewall Dr. has been placed on a temporary roadway, and will likely remain that way until about mid-August.

Traffic control signs and devices are in place for all travelers.

Underground crews have also been working diligently on watermain and storm sewer updates. Watermain work is expected to be done this week, and crews will then shift their focus on installing a new storm sewer.

They are also continuing to expand 52nd St NE to tie into E Century Ave. They have already completed underground work
