In 2025, the Upper Ottawa Valley Genealogical Group (UOVGG) is celebrating 35 years of assisting individuals in researching their family roots in the Ottawa Valley and beyond.

To assist in their re-investment program, the UOVGG has received a 2024-25 Ontario Trillium Program grant of $13,500. This grant has enabled the group to purchase new research and educational support equipment and programs, install a state-of-the art library management program, and launch a new, more comprehensive website.

When completed the UOVGG’s library reference resources will be accessible by the general public. Although group members and the public will still be able to access research documents by visiting the group’s library, current UOVGG members will also be able to access most of the collection of ceme
