Brockville Police have charged a woman with assault following a dispute outside the Boston Pizza restaurant on Sunday night.

At about 8 p.m., police received a call to the restaurant to deal with a couple, a man and his 28-year-old fiancée, arguing in the parking lot, police said Monday.

Police say the woman was in the driver’s seat of their vehicle and the man was trying to remove her as he believed that she drank too much alcohol to drive.

According to police, there was a physical struggle and the woman hit the man in the face, causing non-life-threatening injuries.

Police arrested the woman and charged her with assault. She was released with conditions and a future court date.
