BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) -- A Center Point man was arrested Monday after he allegedly committed burglary and sexual abuse in Birmingham in May.
According to the Birmingham Police Department, 37-year-old Jamal Crawford is charged with first-degree burglary and second-degree sexual abuse. The charges stem from alleged crimes in the 7700 block of Madrid Avenue on May 2.
BPD detectives showed case information to the Jefferson County District Attorney's Office. The Jefferson County Magistrate's Office then issued warrants for Crawford on those charges.
The BPD Crime Reduction Team took Crawford into custody without incident in the seventh block of Fairmont Lane in Childersburg. Crawford was placed in the custody of the Jefferson County Jail. The second-degree sexual abuse charge carries $15,0
