PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A couple hundred people met at the Providence Federal Center Monday night to rally against the recent U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrests.

The Party for Socialism and Liberation Rhode Island planned the “emergency protest” against ICE in solidarity with those marching in Los Angeles , calling the event “FROM LA TO PROVIDENCE: ICE OUT.”

Protestors marched with signs that read “Immigrants make America great,” and “no human is illegal on stolen land.”

Demonstrators also held flags from across the globe, including Mexico, the Dominican Republic, and Palestine.

The march started at the Federal Building on Westminster street and went downtown.

Providence police blocked off part of Weybosset Street for the march.
