French President Emmanuel Macron on Monday described Israel's blockage of humanitarian aid for Gaza a ''disgrace''.
"The scandal, unacceptable, that is unfolding in Gaza and since the beginning of March it has been a disgrace. A disgrace," he said at a news conference.
Macron called for a ceasefire and the lifting of the humanitarian blockade in Gaza.
He said he has spoken to US President Donald Trump and the Emir of Qatar Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani about efforts for a ceasefire and freeing the remaining hostages, and for UN agencies to be able to do its work in Gaza.
'We're talking about children, we are talking about people who today are in a very grave situation,'' Macron said.
