DORCHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) - The Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office says a 19-year-old faces multiple charges following an argument and a shooting threat Monday night.

Michael Aaron Gadsden, of Ladson, is charged with pointing and presenting a firearm, first-degree assault and battery and possession of marijuana, according to jail records.

Deputies received a report of a person with a gun shortly after 9:30 p.m. in the 9000 block of Parlor Drive in Ladson, sheriff’s spokesman Steven Wright said.

The victim told deputies that Gadsden threatened to shoot him before Gadsden left.

Wright said deputies later attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle in which Gadsden was a passenger, but said he ran away, prompting deputies to set up a perimeter with help from North Charleston Police.
