PUTNAM COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — Deputies used eyes in the sky to apprehend two inmates who escaped from a detention facility last week in Morgan County.

According to the Putnam County Sheriff's Office, the two inmates—Robert Syverson an Jeffery Brindly— stole a van registered to Morgan County Residential Recovery Court, which was later found near a cemetery Baxter.

Putnam County Sheriff Eddie Farris said Brindly is a convicted drug offender with ties in the community.

On Thursday, the PSCO SWAT Team surrounded a house in the 400 block of Elm Street and put a drone 350 feet into the air. The drone reportedly observed the home and neighborhood, where investigators believed Syverson and Brindly were hiding.
