Sean "Diddy" Combs has likened himself to the Michael Jordan of drug-fueled sex parties, according to testimony from his ex-girlfriend, who is identified only as "Jane." This claim emerged during the ongoing trial in Manhattan, where Combs faces serious charges of sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy. Jane has spent four days detailing her experiences in a life funded by Combs, which revolved around his sexual desires.
During her testimony, Jane revealed that Combs compared himself, her, and a male escort to famous athletes. She stated that Combs viewed a frequently hired male escort as "Shaquille O'Neal," while she was labeled "Kobe Bryant." Combs, according to Jane, considered himself the "Jordan" of their sexual escapades. This testimony came on the 24th day of the trial, where defense attorneys are working to undermine Jane's claims of coercion.
Prosecutors allege that Combs used his wealth and influence to pressure women into sexual acts, subsequently employing money and intimidation to silence them. Combs has pleaded not guilty, asserting that he has never coerced anyone into sexual activities. Jane's testimony has been pivotal in the prosecution's case against the music mogul, who has been in custody since his arrest last September.
In a tense courtroom exchange, defense attorney Teny Geragos challenged Jane's credibility by highlighting her affectionate messages to Combs. For instance, she texted him, "I wish you were here. We can play our videos on tv and lock each other in the room all day," and added, "I never c— so hard like that in my life." Jane responded sharply to Geragos when he questioned her about the lavish gifts Combs gave to other women, stating, "No, I only got trauma."
The cross-examination intensified as Geragos questioned Jane about her feelings of jealousy regarding Combs' relationships with other women. Jane described Combs as "polyamorous" and expressed frustration over the unequal treatment she received. "What was hard for me was the imbalance in treatment," she said. "I didn't sign up to date a man who was in a public relationship."
Jane also discussed her attempts to understand Combs' enjoyment of watching her engage in sexual acts with other men. She described discovering the term "cuck," which refers to a man who is aroused by watching his partner with another man, and stated, "I was just like this is spot on."
Despite the nature of her testimony, Jane acknowledged that there were aspects of the encounters she enjoyed, stating, "I loved when we would make love and said he wanted me." She also noted that Combs would express affection, saying he never wanted her to leave.
The defense has sought to distance Combs from his employees regarding the alleged illegal activities. Geragos questioned Jane about whether Combs' staff were aware of the male escorts involved in the parties. Jane confirmed that Combs had shifted the locations of these events to private residences to maintain secrecy.
In a separate development, U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian denied a second request for a mistrial from Combs' legal team. This request was based on allegations that a witness, Bryana Bongolan, committed perjury regarding an alleged attack by Combs in 2016. The judge ruled that the inconsistencies in Bongolan's testimony did not warrant a mistrial, stating, "This is not fodder for a mistrial. This is the adversarial process at work."
The trial is set to continue, with additional questioning of Jane expected to resume soon.
