Bridgeport Hospital names its Physician of the Year, Nurse Manager of the Year

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — Bridgeport Hospital announced Tuesday that it has honored its 2025 Physician of the Year and Nurse Manager of the Year.

Monique Misra, MD, is the Physician of the Year, while Pamela D’Ambrosio, RN, is the Nurse Manager of the Year.

According to a hospital spokesperson, both award recipients represent the key principles of professional excellence and leadership.

Misra was named Physician of the Year at the annual Medical Staff dinner last month. In her role, Misra serves as executive director of Hospitalist Services.

Misra is responsible for overseeing the operations, strategy and clinical quality of the hospitalist team that cares for patients at Bridgeport Hospital. Her work ensures that patients receive high-quality and efficient care.
