The Pittsylvania County Board of Supervisors is expected to announce a new county administrator Thursday evening, ending a 14-month period without someone occupying the position full time.
The board will host a special meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday at the county administration building’s conference room “to take action on the selection of the next county administrator,” a public notice states.
Robert Tucker, the chair of the board of supervisors, confirmed to the newspaper on Monday that a new county administrator would be announced.
The board last met May 27 in closed session surrounding the search. Heading into Tuesday’s meeting, Tucker said the selection was down to two individuals.
