Nine Baton Rouge massage parlors were raided by a mix of local and federal law enforcement agents Wednesday, resulting in 10 Chinese women being detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), according to a press release on the federal agency's website.
The East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office coordinated with multiple local and state law enforcement agencies to execute state criminal search warrants related to prostitution and pandering at the businesses, which are misdemeanor charges, according to Casey Rayborn-Hicks, an EBRSO spokesperson.
