KANSAS CITY, Kan. (KAKE) – The Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI) is investigating an officer-involved shooting that left one man dead.

Preliminary information indicates that around 2:50 p.m. Friday, a 24-year-old man, later identified as Paul Beasley Jr. of Kansas City, Kansas, entered a business in the 8300 block of State Avenue, and pointed a firearm at the cashier. Beasley demanded that the cashier call 911 and indicate the store was being robbed.
