LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — The Arkansas Department of Commerce is warning of phishing scams targeting former unemployment insurance claimants.

Scammers are sending emails impersonating the Arkansas Division of Workforce Services in an attempt to steal personal information, such as Social Security numbers, dates of birth, and PINs.

The scam emails contain links to a fake Wix website, designed to resemble the official ARKNET.arkansas.gov portal. To take precautions, it's important to remember not to click links in suspicious emails or enter personal information unless you are positive you are on an official government website.

Official emails will only come from an @arkansas.gov address. You can spot scam emails by looking at the sender address, which may contain random letters/numbers @ascend.w
