The County Board of Supervisors stamped its final approval to the 2025-2026 fiscal year budget on Aug. 6, making no changes to the $156.5 million tentative budget approved last month.

The budget includes $43.7 million in general fund expenditures, which pays for 27 departments within the county, Chavez noted. The final budget also affords a 3% cost of living adjustment to employees and roughly $15 million for capital projects, including improvements to the airport and recreational facilities. ×
