The attorney general of Louisiana has filed a lawsuit against the popular gaming platform Roblox, accusing the site of enabling the exploitation of children and providing “the perfect place for pedophiles,” due to a lack of safety protocols.
The lawsuit, filed Thursday by Attorney General Liz Murrill (R), alleges that by not implementing basic safety controls such as age verification or confirmation of parental permission, Roblox has, for years, “knowingly enabled and facilitated the systemic sexual exploitation and abuse of children across the United States, including Louisiana.” Advertisement
“Roblox is overrun with harmful content and child predators because it prioritizes user growth, revenue, and profits over child safety,” Murrill said in a statement. “Every parent should be aware
