LARAMIE — Jack Walsh and Caden Barnett didn’t suit up for the University of Wyoming’s open scrimmage Thursday night at War Memorial Stadium.

But that doesn’t mean the starting offensive linemen weren’t around to coach their teammates up.

The pair of seniors are part of a veteran core that makes up the Cowboys’ offensive line. Walsh, at center, Barnett, at right guard, and Wes King, at left guard, have combined for 68 starts throughout their careers at UW.

Seeing the trio return to Laramie after two transfer portal windows this offseason was a welcomed sight to fourth-year offensive line coach Joe Tripodi.

“At 12:01 (after the spring portal closed), we were ready to cheers it up and move on,” Tripodi told WyoSports with a laugh.
