The Carolina Panthers just signed quarterback Bryce Perkins for the final week of the preseason.
The move comes after backup quarterback Andy Dalton exited Saturday’s preseason game with a right elbow injury, leaving rookie Jack Plummer to finish. With starters not expected to play Thursday against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Carolina needed another option under center.
Perkins previously spent three seasons with the Los Angeles Rams, appearing in five games with one start between 2020 and 2022. He earned a Super Bowl ring with the Rams before moving to the UFL, where he quickly became one of the league’s most dynamic playmakers.
In 2025, Perkins delivered multiple comeback wins and collected three Offensive Player of the Week awards. He finished the season as UFL Offensive Player of the Y
