Honey may be sweet, but Bakersfield private detective Honey O’Donahue (Margaret Qualley), the title character of the entertaining neo-noir, “Honey Don’t!,” is quite spicy. She is especially sassy when she meets the local cop, Marty Metakawitch (Charlie Day), at a crime scene where Mia Novotny’s (Kara Petersen) dead body was discovered. A running joke has Marty, who repeatedly asks for Honey’s number, and is repeatedly denied, refusing to believe Honey when she claims, “I like girls.”
While many folks suggest that Mia’s death was an unfortunate traffic fatality, Honey refuses to believe it and suspects foul play. Mia had called Honey for an appointment the day before her death, which Honey didn’t keep. She now feels compelled to investigate. Her search for the truth leads her down a series
