A Macomb County plastics manufacturing site is closing for good, ending jobs for 45 people.
Davalor Mold Company LLC earlier this month filed a WARN Act notice with the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity that it will permanently close its site at 46480 Continental Drive, Chesterfield Township.
The company is located across the street from the township’s police department, in the area of 21 Mile Road and Interstate 94.
Layoff dates are expected to begin Oct. 3 and finish Nov. 7.
Davalor Mold Company specialized in plastic injection molding design, tooling and production, according to its website.
In its notice of layoffs, the company said the reason was “financial trouble.”
