Walmart shoppers across Texas, you may need to check your freezer for radioactive shrimp .
The Food and Drug Administration issued a recall for Great Value brand shrimp on Tuesday, after Customs & Border Protection detected Cesium-137 in a shipment of breaded shrimp. The shrimp was processed by Indonesian company PT. Bahari Makmur Sejati, doing business as BMS Foods, according to the recall.
The affected products are two-pound bags of Great Value Frozen Raw Ez Peel Tail-On Farm-Raised White Vannamei Shrimp with a best by date of March 15, 2027 (3/15/2027). The lot codes are:
