SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – The Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office is investigating the death after workers reported a body in the water near the Jimmie Davis Bridge.

Just before 7:30 a.m. CPSO deputies arrived at the Jimmie Davis construction site on Clyde Fant Parkway and E. 70th Street for a reported deceased body.

CPSO spokesperson confirmed that a white male was retrieved from the water, and they are investigating this incident as a possible criminal act. Investigators have not given any additional information about the condition of the victim.
