The St. Joseph County Area Plan Commission has approved amendments to the city’s solar ordinance requiring developers to provide property value guarantees for large-scale solar farms.
Our partners at WSBT-TV Channel 22 report the commission voted 7-1 on Tuesday to approve the amendments, which state that developers must compensate homeowners within one mile of a new solar project if a home within that radius sells below its market value.
