ROXBURY — RiverFest — a celebration of nature and community with food, crafts, music, games, educational exhibits and more — is being hosted by the Roxbury Land Trust at its River Road Preserve on Sunday, September 14 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
“We hope families and nature lovers of all ages will turn out for this afternoon of outdoor fun and activities in a beautiful, preserved part of Roxbury,” said John Smoliga, President of the Roxbury Land Trust. “RiverFest offers something for everyone, and we encourage people to explore the surrounding trails and enjoy the scenic Shepaug River views as part of the festival.”
With no admission fee, the event will feature a farmstand by Twilight Dreams Farm; children’s crafts by Golden Button; face painting by Teach Art 2 Me; goats and soap by Jen Kern;
