When WW Clyde opened its southwest headquarters in Apache Junction this summer with 75 workers, it secured a spot on a list of the top 10 largest private-sector employers in the city based on the number of full-time employees.

The civil contractor specializing in highways, pipelines, mines and solar farms has been part of the Apache Junction community since 2020, when it acquired Blount Contracting. A recent and recognizable project WW Clyde has worked on in Apache Junction is Flatiron Park.

The city of Apache Junction is actively seeking to attract businesses like WW Clyde, said Ryan Kaup, the city’s economic development director.
