MARSHALL, Texas (KTAL/KMSS) — The Marshall Police Department has announced an upcoming Citizen Police Academy.

The six-week program begins on September 2 and gives community members a behind-the-scenes look at how the department operates.

Weekly sessions cover topics such as patrol operations, criminal investigations, property and financial crimes, and crisis intervention. The academy also includes tours and demonstrations with police equipment and techniques.
