HOUSTON — Houston Astros owner Jim Crane was honored with a lifetime achievement award Thursday during the Most Admired CEO Awards ceremony presented by the Houston Business Journal. The event recognized nearly 50 of the area's top chief executives.

Crane received the award from Houston Business Journal President and Publisher Traci Pelter during the ceremony. The recognition highlights Crane's diverse business accomplishments beyond baseball, including founding a freight and shipping company and his active involvement in Houston's golf community, particularly his efforts to keep the Houston Open tournament in the city.

Reflecting on his journey to success, Crane acknowledged the challenges he faced.
