Three firsts added up to nice round number for the Glacier Range Riders, who rode three home runs to a 6-5 Pioneer League win over Yuba-Sutter Wednesday and the franchise’s 100th home victory.
The biggest home run came from Kyle Ashworth, a three-run shot to right that was his first professional long ball and put Glacier (16-16 this half) up 6-5 in the sixth inning.
That lead held up, giving relief pitcher Tyler Davis — he was signed on Aug. 7 — his first professional win. Reliever Jacob Hasty worked around a hit and a walk in the ninth to record his first professional save.
Earlier in the game, Angel Mendoza’s two-run home run put Glacier up 2-1 in the second inning, and Logan Beard’s solo shot in the third had the Range Riders up 3-2.
