OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) - There is a possibility that two of the three private prisons owned by CoreCivic could open soon and house detained immigrants.
The reporting came first from Oklahoma Watch, which found that CoreCivic had advertised jobs at the vacant prisons in Watonga and Sayre.
This week, several jobs are open for one of the prisons, the one in Watonga called Diamondback Correctional Facility.
"I found that it is not cheap to run one of these facilities," said Keaton Ross with Oklahoma Watch.
Ross said his team saw the openings and started to dig in further.
