Private family services for the late Sumie Kawaguchi, 96-year-old, Japan-born, resident of Cerritos, who passed away peacefully on July 29, 2025, were held at Rose Hills Memorial Park graveside with Pastor Gary Tawa officiating.

She is survived by her loving family: daughters, Bessie (Dexter) Yuen and Diana (Craig) Goto; grandson, Taylor Yuen; sister, Setsuko (Tamotsu) Kitamura of Japan; she is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
