Ask a New Yorker what we think about ourselves and you’ll get the same answer every time: obviously, we’re the best. Ask a tourist? They’ll probably say we’re rude—though, fun fact, we’re not even the rudest city in America (our friends over in Miami apparently are!).

But now we finally know what the rest of the country really thinks of us thanks to a new survey by CanadaCasino. Spoiler alert: it’s not all “I ❤️ NY.”

The study polled 2,000 Americans across more than 15 states and revealed exactly how people see us—and, let’s just say, they didn’t hold back.

According to the results, Americans think New Yorkers are arrogant, rude, and snobby. (Cute.) But they also admit we’re progressive and adventurous, which honestly sounds like a Tinder bio we’d actually swipe right on,
