DAYTONA, Fla. (WFLA) — This weekend is the Wawa 250 Xfinity race in Daytona, and as the regular season winds down, last year's champion is looking for a strong performance this weekend.
In 2024, Justin Allgaier won his first Xfinity championship.
He holds the record for the most top 10 finishes in Xfinity history, but this season has presented both wins and difficult moments for the driver of the Number 7 car.
The first race of the season at Daytona presented a challenge for Allgaier this year. Despite a strong performance all day, he was caught up in a last-lap crash that dashed his hopes of a win and kept him out of the top ten.
Still, this year started with high hopes.
