ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A man from Lyons has been arrested following an investigation into a reported domestic incident, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.

38-year-old Matthew J. Hagar of Layton Street is accused of allegedly drugging and raping a female relative on January 21 at a house in Newark. He is charged with first-degree rape, first-degree incest, and predatory sexual assault.

Hagar is a level 3 sex offender and was on probation for a 2022 conviction involving a sex crime against a child. He was taken to the Wayne County Jail to await arraignment in CAP Court.
