REDDING, Calif. - Tyler McCain, the man accused of murdering his wife Nikki Saelee-McCain, was arraigned on a murder charge in Shasta County Court Friday afternoon.

Specifically, McCain entered a not guilty plea on a first-degree murder charge, and many other charges, during his first day in court.

It was a full room, as numerous people attended, including Nikki's family and supporters, with some donning 'Justice for Nikki' t-shirts.

Once McCain entered the court, his defense attorney Michael Borges stood in a way that blocked McCain from being seen by audience members.

Borges asked Judge Adam Ryan to reconsider the 'no bail' part of McCain's case, but his request was denied. He also asked the judge to ban the media from taking any pictures or video of McCain in custody during the ent
