SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – A vigil was held in the MLK community to remember 28-year-old mother LaBriesha Patterson, who was tragically killed in a shooting on Martin Luther King Drive in Shreveport.
The shooting happened on Monday, August 18, just before 11 p.m. in the 1600 block of Martin Luther King Drive. Shreveport police found Patterson suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. She was shot while driving, and four teenagers were arrested in connection with her murder.
Community members gathered on Mayhaw Circle in support of one another and Patterson's family during a candlelight vigil honoring the memory of the young mother who tragically died.
