REDDING, Calif. -- A serious hit-and-run collision occurred overnight in Redding in the westbound lane of Lake Blvd. between Clay St. and St. Marks St. The road was closed during an emergency response and an investigation after a trailer came loose from a silver truck and then collided with two motorcyclists who had been heading eastbound on Lake Blvd.
The Redding Police Department told Action News Now that the drivers of the motorcycles are still recovering at local hospitals on Saturday morning and said that they have not been able to apprehend the truck and its driver, who failed to stop and continued westbound on Lake Blvd. before midnight on Friday.
