NEW ORLEANS – Some of the moaning about the Broncos’ first-team offense can at least quiet down.

Broncos offensive starters got off to a shaky start in the preseason opener two weeks ago at San Francisco and on Saturday against New Orleans at the Superdome. But quarterback Bo Nix and company closed in fine fashion on their third and final series against the Saints in the preseason finale.

Nix threw a 19-yard touchdown pass to Courtland Sutton on his 19th play of the game for a 10-6 Denver lead early in the second quarterback. Broncos coach Sean Payton had said starters would play between eight and 10 plays.
