SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — Originally from Athens, Greece, Bentwood Country Club pro Philip Zachiotis has taken his experience from all over the world to serve San Angelo.

Zachiotis' journey to playing tennis started as a kid, with his father introducing him to the sport.

"The dedication you need there and the commitment to just pull through and get the victory, just amazing," said Zachiotis.

His move to the United States brings hopes to create a further opportunity to play the sport at the collegiate level.

"There are so many opportunities in the U.S., and it was definitely one of my biggest dreams to come here to the U.S. and play at a college level," said Zachiotis. "I just had to stay committed."
