UPDATE: Blue Origin scrubbed its scheduled uncrewed flight for New Shepard that was on tap for Saturday, Aug. 23. An issue was discovered related to the booster's avionics, the company said. A new launch target is forthcoming.

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) -- Space technology company Blue Origin has its next space flight scheduled for this weekend.

The company is scheduled to launch its New Shepard rocket in an uncrewed mission that will have more than 40 scientific and research payloads onboad.

This will be the New Shepard program's 35th mission and will bring the number of payloads flown on it to more than 200.

The launch window will open at 6:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 23 MDT from the company's Launch Site One outside of Van Horn, Texas.
