A disturbing video went viral on Saturday night appearing to show Raja Jackson -- the son of ex-MMA star Quenton "Rampage" Jackson -- getting into an altercation with wrestler Syko Stu before assaulting Stu in the ring. We won't post the video below, but a WARNING: It's really disturbing and there's a ton of NSFW language.
With rumors flying about what happened before, during and after that video, Rampage took to social media to address it with a lengthy post on X (formerly Twitter).
He said that Syko Stu is "awake and stable." He apologized on behalf of his son and didn't "condone my son's actions AT ALL!"
Here's more from Jackson:
Raja was unexpectedly hit in the side of the head by him moments before Smith’s match, Raja was told that he could get his “payback”in the ring,i thought it was apart of the show. It was bad judgement, and a work that went wrong. Raja is a MMA fighter not a pro wrestler and had no business involved in an event like this. ... He suffered a concussion from sparring only days ago and had no business doing anything remotely close to physical contact. As a father, im deeply concerned with his health AND the well being of Mr. Smith. That being said I’m very upset that any of this happened, but my main concern now is that Mr. Smith will make a speedy recovery.
Is Raja Jackson a wrestler?
As his dad said, no. He's an MMA fighter.
Was the Raja Jackson video real?
Here's what one report said -- it appear that the bout was planned but Jackson's blows weren't supposed to be real.
We'll see if there are further updates coming.
