HOUSTON - Monday's expected to give us another breather from the rain before it returns again midweek.
Gradual clearing this weekend
Models show lower rain chances again on Monday. With that comes plenty of sunshine, helping temperatures rise to the mid/upper 90s. Looking fairly typical for the last week of August in Houston.
Can't completely drop the rain chances, but only isolated rain to start the work week.
More heavy downpours
Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms will return on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Severe weather and widespread flooding are not expected at this time, but some cells could drop a quick 1"+, so in poor drainage areas, we could see isolated street flooding.
Rain chances will need to be in the forecast for next weekend as well.
