Napa Pickett Fire Grows
Firefighters in Napa County, California, have been working around the clock for days to contain a wildfire that continues to grow. The Pickett Fire, as it is known, had burned more than 10 square miles as of Monday evening.
Cal Fire’s Sonoma-Lake-Napa Unit and other agencies have deployed more than 1,000 emergency personnel to the scene, with hand crews, dozers, engines, water tenders and helicopters putting in an aggressive effort to suppress the blaze, which is 15% contained.
