Ilia Topuria is still undefeated and became a two-division champion at just 28 years old. A lot of people think nobody can beat this guy and that he’ll retire undefeated just like Khabib Nurmagomedov did. But former lightweight champ Islam Makhachev thinks Arman Tsarukyan could be the one to end Topuria’s dominant streak.

Makhachev vs. Topuria was the fight everyone wanted to see. But when the Dagestani fighter moved up a weight class, that matchup went out the window. Now the former lightweight champ is saying Topuria vs. Tsarukyan is the fight that needs to happen at 155, and he thinks the Armenian fighter has what it takes to beat ‘El Matador.’

“I think [Arman] should be next. He proved himself… I think if Arman goes out with the right attitude, he can get it done.” Makhachev said.
