PICO RIVERA – A 13-year-old boy was shot to death in Pico Rivera, authorities said Sunday.

The shooting was reported about 11:45 p.m. Saturday and occurred in the 8800 block of Whittier Boulevard, where the child was pronounced dead at the scene, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reported.

According to KTLA5, this marks the second deadly shooting at a gas station in Pico Rivera in the last three days.

Another man was shot and killed on Thursday at a Shell gas station on Rosemead and Washington Boulevards, just a few miles down from Saturday’s shooting.

It’s unclear if the shootings are connected, and there’s no information on a suspect or suspects.

There was no other immediate information available.
