ST. LOUIS – Police are investigating a weekend shooting along a high-traffic corridor in south St. Louis.
According to a St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department spokesperson, officers responded to a shooting at South Kingshighway Boulevard and Connecticut Street around 4 p.m. on Saturday.
Officers arrived to find the shooting victim, a 24-year-old man, being treated by EMS outside of his vehicle.
Witnesses told police the victim had just left the QT gas station on S. Kingshighway and Fyler Avenue moments before the shooting.
The victim was taken to the hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
