SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — The Tom Green County Sheriff's Office warns citizens of a new warrant scam taking place.

The TGSO reported that someone is pretending to be a member of the Sheriff's Office and is calling people, stating that they need to pay to resolve their outstanding warrants.

"The Sheriff's Office will not ever call and solicit any payment over the phone to take care of warrants," the post said.

TGSO advises not to engage with the scammers and feel free to tell them to call the Sheriff's Office if they have any questions.
