Sen. Bernie Sanders returned to Chicago Sunday to rail on the country’s billionaires and denounce President Donald Trump as a “demagogue” in a tour that is boosting progressive candidates across the country.

The visit came as Trump threatens to send the National Guard to Chicago, and local leaders continue to denounce the reported plan to send troops to the city’s streets.

Sanders, an independent senator from Vermont, outlined the country’s harshest gaps in the country’s economy, reflected in an unequal healthcare, housing and the education system. And he pinned the blame squarely at the country’s “oligarchs.”
